ALECTIA has been selected as total consultant for the rebuilding of 12.000 m2 office and laboratory facilities at Novo Nordisk in Bagsværd.

As a first step, ALECTIA will prepare a Conceptual Design (CD) report, describing the interrelationship of the departments moving into the building, as well as the design of the office and laboratory facilities themselves.  

ALECTIA is working together with Henning Larsen Architects and RH-architects in developing building design and office/laboratory fit-out respectively. ALECTIA advises on all building services, indoor climate, health and safety, energy optimization, building logistics and structural engineering.  

Relationship long standing
Novo Nordisk and ALECTIA have worked together for many years. ALECTIA has designed building and process installations, refurbishment and new buildings of laboratories and factories for pharmaceutical production services offered include including HVAC design, process utilities, clean room technology, validation of new and existing equipment, special considerations to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Clean-In-Place technologies.

Energy-friendly bottling of insulin
ALECTIA has designed and implemented energy savings and ventilation design in connection with a new insulin factory near the city of Tianjin in China. The factory is one of the largest investments in Novo Nordisk’s history. An energy-efficient design of the ventilation system has resulted in savings of double-figure DKK mill. compared with traditional solutions. 

ALECTIA has furthermore made an extensive guide, ”Supporting Guidance for Energy Efficient HVAC Design” for Novo Nordisk, covering design of ventilation systems for all types of facilities that might be relevant for Novo Nordisk, including facilities for production, research and administration.
