The Danish Energy Saving Trust (Go’ Energi) works on reducing Denmark’s energy consumption by making it as easy as possible to save energy. The assignment of supporting Go’ Energi with knowledge for the commercial, industrial and public sectors has been won again by ALECTIA and Viegand & Maagøe for the next 4 years.

The Danish effort to promote energy efficiency has been strengthened with the Danish Electricity Saving Trust (Elsparefonden) becoming “Go’ Energi”. This means that the effort has been increased from electricity savings in households and public institutions to include all energy forms for all sectors, with the exception of transport.

The overall assignment of Go’ Energi is to make it easy to save energy. Go’ Energi must make sure that private and public companies get help and guidance on how to improve the energy efficiency. This may be done by telling the many good stories and giving examples of energy efficiency – for instance on the website www.GoEnergi.dk where partnerships can be established between public and private companies as Curve Breaker Agreements. The site also contains instructions and booklets as well as coaching for all users of the centre.

The assignment of supporting Go’ Energi in the energy efficiency effort towards the public and private companies has just been won again by ALECTIA and Viegand & Maagøe. Both companies worked as coaches for the Danish Electricity Saving Trust (Elsparefonden) from 2006 to the turn of the year 2010/2011 and so will be continuing this work for Go’ Energi over the next 4 years.

ALECTIA and Viegand & Maagøe assist Go’ Energi with:

  • Dissemination of knowledge, coaching on the use of energy-efficient solutions and help for self-help to public and private companies including the following areas: Electricity, heat, lighting, ventilation, power consumption for IT, indoor climate, process energy, heat pumps, circulation pumps, energy consumption of buildings including climate envelopes and energy-efficient server rooms
  • Field work towards private companies, municipalities, regions and national institutions to promote energy efficiency including helping the State meet the requirements of the Circular on improving energy efficiency in state institutions, for instance through Curve Breaker Agreements
  • Preparation of articles, web texts, instructions and booklets
  • Specialist knowledge about electric heat conversion, refrigeration, ventilation, energy labelling, energy efficiency measures and energy policy
  • Facilitation and development of tools and new methods for promoting energy efficiency
  • Establishment of co-operation agreements with private and public institutions about energy efficiency including visibility of energy consumption and energy-efficient purchases.

About Go' Energi
