Inspiration for a workplace with good indoor climate and good working environment

Good management often gets reduced to who is able to offer the best fruit arrangement and the largest fitness room. The Danish publication with the translated title “A Good Workplace – Inspiration for Management with Results” tries to do something about this. The purpose of the publication is to motivate and inspire managers and companies to create better workplaces.

ALECTIA has been mentioned in two articles in the publication, which was published as a supplement to the newspapers Berlingske Tidende and Aarhus Stiftstidende in December 2011. The first article with the translated title “Light, air and cleanliness create results on the bottom line” is written by ALECTIA’s MSc Engineering, PhD and indoor climate supervisor Kasper Lynge Jensen. In the article he explains how relatively small investments in the indoor climate can reduce sickness absence, retain employees, and not least increase productivity. He says:

“Examinations have shown that physical discomfort due to a poor indoor climate can affect the productivity with up to 15 percent and that a productivity increase of just 1 percent can pay for the expenses for improving the indoor climate”.

Good economy in better working environment
In the other article with the translated title “Good economy in better working environment” Kenneth Ajslev, manager of Leadership, Health, Safety in ALECTIA, encourages managers in Danish companies to pay more attention to the health and safety work instead of putting it aside in the company operation:

“Examinations have shown that it is exactly the companies, which have succeed in targeting and integrating the working environment into the ordinary operation of the company, that make the most of the efforts. A good working environment can make an enormous difference in the company and only the management can take care of that”, Kenneth Ajslev tells.
