ALECTIA has provided consultancy services for two of the three new housing sections in the new housing area “Lærkehaven” in Lystrup near Aarhus, which was ready for occupation at the beginning of 2010. One section is constructed with a class 1 low-energy rating, and the other according to the passive house standard. Lærkehaven is currently the largest climate-friendly housing area in Denmark

Lærkehaven is part of the European SHE cooperation (Sustainable Housing in Europe). SHE is an EU-supported cooperation between housing associations from four countries: Italy, France, Portugal, and Denmark.

The housing area spares the environment by emitting 100 tonnes CO2 less a year compared to buildings constructed in accordance with the standard requirements of the Danish building regulations.
