Navitas Park: the largest low-energy building in Denmark
ALECTIA is on the winning team of the prestigious competition for the construction of Navitas Park on the new waterfront in Aarhus. The 35,000 m2 large building will accommodate the Engineering College, the School of Marine and Technical Engineering, and INCUBA Science Park, and will be the largest low-energy building in Denmark.
From 2014 more than 2,000 students, teachers and businessmen will be regular visitors to NavitasPark on the new waterfront in Aarhus. The building will house the EngineeringCollege, the School of Marine and Technical Engineering, and INCUBASciencePark, and be the framework for education, development, and trade with focus on energy.
Navitas Park will be the largest low-energy building project in Denmark. The municipality of Aarhus is one of the building owners with a public car park with 450 parking spaces.
The building will be erected in parallel with another, key building project on the Aarhus waterfront, i.e. the future Media House and the new urban harbour space, which will be ready by 2014. ALECTIA is also supplying consulting engineering services to this project.

Leading knowledge centre
The purpose is to create a leading knowledge centre for energy, environment and building, and a high-quality framework for education, innovation and entrepreneurship in the heart of Aarhus.
Navitas Park will be an open and living building complex. The idea is to create an international, competitive and attractive environment where students, researchers, teachers and businesses can inspire each other for the benefit of all parties.

Focus on energy
Navitas Park will be a building focusing on energy and it is an independent objective that the building will be an international ”lighthouse” for energy savings and the use of leading-edge energy technologies. Among other things the building will constructed in energy class 1.
With its conspicuous location, the building will at the same time present a unique possibility to demonstrate and visualize the development potential of sustainable, energy-efficient state-of-the art technologies, supported by the architecture.
35,000 m2
Navitas Park will be about 35,000 m2 with facilities for education, research, development and entrepreneurship as well as a public car park with 450 parking spaces. The three institutions, EngineeringCollege, the School of Marine and Technical Engineering, and INCUBASciencePark, will have their own rooms and facilities, as well as shared facilities like canteen, fitness centre, meeting rooms, etc.
