From March 2011 Fredensborg Supply not only have the best drinking water in Denmark but also one of the best waterworks. ALECTIA was the consultant on the assignment that included the detailed project planning of an entirely new waterworks inclusive of pipe system and new well field.

On the World Water Day on March 22^nd, Humlebæk Waterworks turned on the taps again after an extensive renovation. The original waterworks from 1943 has now been replaced by a brand-new waterworks with future-proof technology and better supply security.

The waterworks lives up to the existing and future standards for water treatment in a closed water system with no contact to the surrounding environment. At the same time, the plant appearance is at the level of a clinical food industry.

Furthermore, the new waterworks has improved the supply security. In connection with the waterworks, a new well field has been built, with three new wells connected to the waterworks through new water pipes. Moreover, a transmission cable is laid between Humlebæk and Nivå.

Complete project solution
ALECTIA has been the consultant on the project which started in 2008. Tenders were invited for the following five individual trade contracts: Building and distribution reservoir, Process plant, Electric power, Pipe works and Establishment of three new wells.

Besides the detailed project planning of the new waterworks, ALECTIA has been in charge of tender evaluation and contracting, construction management, supervision, site meetings and security coordination on site.
