Owner representative on the A.P. Møller School in Schleswig
ALECTIA has provided owner representative services in connection with the construction of the A.P. Møller School in Schleswig. The school offers lower and upper secondary classes for a total of 625 pupils/students from the Danish minority in Schleswig.
The 15,000 m2 school is the result of a donation of DKK 400 mill. from the “A. P. Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller’s Foundation for General Purposes”. The spectacular building with its inspiring architecture, modern indoor climate and learning environment is a pioneering example of a spacious and modern school.

The school is designed as an open education structure, intended as a “city”, and accommodates both individual work, group work and plenum activities. The classes are placed in a 3-storey U-shape around the assembly hall and the sports centre. Especially, the upper floors have a magnificent view of the inlet and the beautiful landscape. In this way, the shape and the surroundings strengthen the social interaction and learning.
ALECTIA participated through the entire process with a power of attorney from the Foundation to act as owner representative - from project planning and project management, negotiations with authorities, tender and contract management, to construction management.
