Nykredit, one of Denmark's leading finance groups,  is expanding their headquarters in Copenhagen with a new 6,850 m2 building, Crystal, and a beautiful open space, Cloud. ALECTIA works for Nykredit as owner representative, as well as adviser in connection with sustainable deliveries and CSR.

Nykredit’s new headquarters on the harbour front in Copenhagen have been aptly named the Crystal and the Cloud. The Crystal has a unique crystalline form, angled and resting on the ground at only three point, creating space for passage under the building and a view across the harbour.

Nykredit has chosen to call the open space around the building Sky, as it changes constantly just like the clouds in the sky. There is a water surface that reproduces the movements of the sun and the clouds.

Office building with low energy impact
The Krystal will become one of the office buildings with the lowest energy impact in Denmark. Electricity from solar cells on the roof, sea water cooling and rain water used for sanitation are key features of the building. The energy consumption of the office building is expected to be 33 pct. below the Danish Energy Agency's requirements for new office buildings.
